Welcome to our family blog. This is for us to keep track of the fun we have day to day, and for the family and friends out there who like to hear about it. Hope you enjoy!
5K and a Concert
Now that Jesse is gone I don't have a whole lot to blog about. She left Tuesday night and Wednesday I started working all day again. We loved having her here with us. There are a ton of things on our list that we didn't get to do, so she'll have to come back so we can do everything we had planned! Mike and I did have an exciting Saturday. Yesterday was the 5K for my clients who participated in a 6-week summer program. For 6 weeks they keep track of what they ate, and how much they exercised and they would get points for everything they did right. At the end of the 6 weeks the person with the most points who also completed the 5K got the grand prize! I had about 20 people sign up to do the summer program, and 12 came to the 5K. So overall it was a pretty good turn-out. My client, Stephanie, worked really hard the whole six weeks and worked up to even jog about 1/2 of the 5K. She won the grand prize, which was a polar heart rate monitor. After the 5K that night, Mike and I went to a concert. One of his most favorite bands, Built to Spill, was playing in Salt Lake. I think I've been to 3 or 4 Built to Spill concerts now, but last night was definitely my favorite, probably because I'm more familiar with all their songs. So it was a pretty fun Saturday. I'm looking forward to next Saturday now. We don't have any plans and that sounds really good to me. One day with nothing scheduled to do, I can't wait.
